Frequency Plan for Emergency Communications

We are pleased to announce that The Radio Society of Sri Lanka-RSSL and Amateur Radio Civil Services Network-ARCSN have jointly developed a Strategic Frequency Plan for Disaster Preparedness.

This initiative was prompted by the recent floods in the Ratnapura area, highlighting the urgent need for the swift deployment of volunteers for backup communications during such natural disasters. Our new strategic frequency plan aims to enhance our collective readiness for future emergencies.

We encourage all members to adopt this guideline to ensure our preparedness for any similar situations that may arise. Together, we can improve our response capabilities and provide vital support during times of crisis.
