APRS LoRa in Sri Lanka

The Radio Society of Sri Lanka (RSSL) is taking the lead in the APRS LoRa deployment across our beautiful island. As pioneers in this endeavor, we are setting the standards for APRS LoRa usage in Sri Lanka and paving the way for an advanced amateur radio network.

For those eager to be part of this cutting-edge technology, we extend an open invitation to all interested parties to deploy LoRa APRS iGates or Digipeaters, or to operate a LoRa APRS Tracker using the following standardized settings:

LoRa Transmission Settings:

  • Frequency: 433.775 MHz
  • Spreading Factor: 12
  • Bandwidth: 125kHz
  • Code Rate: 4:5 (Slow Standard, 300bps)

By adhering to these uniform settings, we can create a seamless and efficient APRS LoRa network that will benefit the entire amateur radio community in Sri Lanka.
