YOTA Camp 2023: An Exciting Opportunity for Young Radio Amateurs
The Radio Society of Sri Lanka (RSSL), as the recognized member of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU), is delighted to announce the upcoming Youngsters On The Air (YOTA) IARU-R3 camp. This camp, organized in collaboration with the Radio Amateur Society of Thailand (RAST) under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King of Thailand, will take place from 27th to 29th October 2023 in Pattaya City, Thailand.
The YOTA camp offers a fantastic platform for young amateurs from member societies of the IARU Region 3 to connect with like-minded individuals from different countries and engage in a range of activities related to radio communication and technology. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in various exciting workshops, including electronics and antenna building, as well as engaging in fox hunting, establishing and operating radio stations,experiencing VHF, HF, and satellite contacts, and enjoying a local tour of Pattaya City.
We are pleased to inform you that the IARU Region 3 will cover transportation between Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) in Bangkok and the camp venue, as well as other costs, such as meals, local tours, and accommodation during the event. However, participants will be responsible for their travel expenses between their home country and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).
